Black Friday Cicada?

Psaltoda pictibasis?

Description:

Fore-wing 40mm with green veins. Yellow-green under-belly. Stocky. Body 3cm. Brown eyes

Habitat:

One of approximately thirty cicada that were in the process of shedding their shells on a Casuarina ((probably C glauca. Grey (Swamp) She-oak. Native Trees and Shrubs of South-eastern Australia. Leon Costerman.)) They were within the first two metres of a small tree in a grove of council plantings by a park

Notes:

The newly hatched cicada was directed onto my shirt until we got home then onto the curtains so it could stretch its wings. When it was flying around the room it was photographed. Hopefully that was not too soon. After three days research I have realised I cannot use the keys online. Heavily corrected for exposure and sharpness by graphic software. It was released back onto the same branch it was taken from. No audio. # green xmas cicada
