Variable Coral Snake

Micrurus diastema alienus

Description:

Photo take o a jungle path this is a small snake all red color whit three black rings on the tail and black head on top and yellow under the head local say is a endemic Yucatan coral snake???, but i´m not sure i have not better shots hopes is good to ID is very common on the area this ones is about 50 cm long i have found a them at night on the road and they get static whit any presence and play like a branch on the floor very easy to step on them.

Habitat:

In tropical wet, moist and dry forest from near sea level to 1,250 m in Mexico, Belize, Guatemala and Honduras.
