Lesser Bulldog Bat

Noctilio albiventris

Description:

These bats were feeding on a small pond at a resort golf course in Panama. It was a real challenge to guess the right focal distance and to try to follow them in the dark. I took about 300 pictures. These are the best ones.

Very cool John! Thanks for sharing. I was so amazed I saw a red bat today flying over the meadow into the woods on a bright and sunny day. No photo but I got a really good look. This is a great spot!

This was my lucky find while on vacation in Panama. Not easy to catch these shots in the dark!!

Quite right Gerardo. I have fixed the location. I still have some getting used to the Google satellite map system.
