Yellow-Shelled Semi-Slug

Parmarion martensi

Description:

I found this semi-slug on the tree in my backyard. It is brownish-black, slimy, and its small shell is usually yellowish. The size of this semi-slug is about 20 mm in length.

Habitat:

- Around the garden and bushes.

Notes:

- This semi-slug is a land mollusk from the family Ariophantidae. Semi-slug is somewhere between a snail and a slug because it has an external shell like a snail, but the shell remnant is too small for it to retract up into, leaving its soft body exposed like a slug. - http://tidechaser.blogspot.com/2012/12/t...

Pretty cool. It looks like something called a semi-slug or is that semi-snail? One of those
