if tom recognized the blurry picture !!!!
first thought : "ceratiomyxa fruticulosa (1)" or "c. porioides (2)" BUT
it's more likely: "mucilago crustacea (3)" or white "fuligo sp.(4)"

DEFINITLY a "myxomycota / slime mold"

Had it finger-like fruitingbodies {1}!!
Was it a pored pillow {2}!!!
Was it flaky {3}!!
The whole mass of the specimen, suggest {4}

Check "tomvolkfungi.net". The absolute coolest fungi website in the world . If Tom doesn't know , probably no one does! Send him a copy of your pic.
