The blue crab is also known in Brazil as siri-tinga or siri. Is a decapod omnivorous crustacean, can be found in coastal waters of the Atlantic Ocean and Mexico Golf; His scientific name means 'tasty beautiful swimmer' (In greek, 'Calli' means 'beautiful' and 'Nectes' is 'swimmer', and from latin, 'sapidus' means 'tasty') --- O siri-azul é também conhecido como siri-tinga ou simplesmente siri no Brasil. É um crustáceo decápode e onívoro, e pode ser encontrado em águas costeiras do Oceano Atlântico até o Golfo do México. Seu nome científico significa 'nadador belo saboroso' (Em grego, 'Calli' significa 'belo' e 'Nectes' é 'nadador', e do latim, 'sapidus' significa 'saboroso')
