Male Six-lined Racerunner Lizard

Aspidoscelis sexlineatus

Description:

Six light blue to yellow lines running the length of the body. Males have a pale blue belly and throat. They eat a wide variety of insects, spiders, and other invertebrates. Extremely fast, making them some of the most difficult lizards to capture.

Habitat:

Open, dry grasslands and sandy areas.

Notes:

I wish I could have gotten a better photo of this lizard but he was not interested in me taking his picture at all!! He was very pretty!
