A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Phyllitis scolopendrium/Asplenium scolopendrium
Think its a member of the Fern family Smooth clumped pointed Leafs
Small wooded area on a local Hill
Hi, Trajon. Despite being soft, are the leaves of this plant also rigid. The overall habit and ruffled margin remind me of a bird's nest fern, belonging to the genus Asplenium, and likely species being A. australasicum and A. nidus. Both are endemic to Australasia. Hopefully this will lead you to a positive ID. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bird%27s-n...
Hello Trajon,
Welcome to Project Noah. This is a site dedicated to wildlife; so you can share photos that you have taken of wildlife and engage with the PN community. Please do not take photos from the Internet or from others without permission. Please also try not to post photos of your pets or other domesticated animals.
You have a nice first spotting.
If you do not know the name of the species you have photographed I am sure someone will be around soon to help you ID the spotting. In case you agree with the suggestion, you can use the Edit this Spotting Option to fill in the boxes and complete the spotting.
Enjoy the site. Keep posting. Have fun. See you around.
