Unnamed spotting

Pseudeutreta sp.

Description:

Rather skittish fly. None stop moving/flying. One third the size of a grain of rice. According to Dr. Amnon Freidberg, this is a Pseudeutreta sp., originally an American genus. Freidberg believes that this genus is probably introduced to Malaysia for biological control purposes. Special thanks to Laibale Friedman for taking the time to sort this out.

Habitat:

Found in virgin forest at high altitude.
