A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Lernaea sp.
Copepod crustaceans commonly found of freshwater fish. These were found on my aquarium fish. The first picture is one on my finger. The pictures after that are just snippets of the video taken through a microscope.
Watch the video for full effect.

Yeah, I will definitely try it out next time. And, will surely let you know. Thank you :)
I recommend using a flashlight and lighting it from the top because it illuminates the part of specimen facing the lens, were as lighting it from behind creates a shadowing effect on the subject. Since you aren't working with an organism small enough that light can travel through it easily. If you try it out, let me know if it works!
Yes Logan, I lighted the specimen from behind, just like in a simple compound microscope.
How did you light the specimen? From behind?
Yeah it does. But, it is quiet an extraordinary technique you have shared here. I tried it on the fungi growing on strawberry, and it did work. Thank you very much once again. :)
This is my attempt at this method.
