Green Hairy Caterpillar

Lepidoptera

Description:

Black shiny head. Green body with white hairs. Black stripe along the back. Eight or ten yellow prolegs. Unable remember the length. Probably 1 to 1.5cm

Habitat:

Night. Hanging from a silk thread over a metre long. The plant could have been a eucalypt or a paperbark or a casuarina, they were intertwined.
