Passion Vine

Passiflora caerulea

Description:

This is not the native passion vine because it has a 5 lobed leaf. It came into the garden as a volunteer. The fritillary butterflies do not mind it not being native and cover it with eggs. This one has just recovered from spring caterpillars munching.

Habitat:

A wildlife habitat garden by a lake.
