Southern Leopard Frog

Lithobates sphenocephalus

Description:

Southern Leopard Frog that has just lost his/her tail and crawled out of the water for the first time. The tadpoles in my prior spotting are probably the same kind and will be changing shortly. The water is just two inches below the frog in this picture. It is about 3/4 inch in size.
