Description:

Lovely bird from the order of the Pelecaniformes, and the family of THRESKIORNIDAE. It's a bird of aproximately 50 cm with a long pink curved peak, that is used for search food from the shallow waters. It may eat small insect larvae as well as small fishes and ocasionally some seeds.

Habitat:

Shallow lakes and lagoons, as well as marshes.

Notes:

They are usually quite shy, and sometimes you can see them alone, as well as other times mixed with other Ibis groups.
