Plegadis Chihi
Lovely bird from the order of the Pelecaniformes, and the family of THRESKIORNIDAE. It's a bird of aproximately 50 cm with a long pink curved peak, that is used for search food from the shallow waters. It may eat small insect larvae as well as small fishes and ocasionally some seeds.
Shallow lakes and lagoons, as well as marshes.
They are usually quite shy, and sometimes you can see them alone, as well as other times mixed with other Ibis groups.
