Blue Dasher

Pachydiplax longipennis

Description:

The Blue Dasher damselfly has four clear wings with brown stigmas along the outer leading edge of each wing. The thorax is striped and abdomen is yellow and black. The eyes are close together and the face is white.

Habitat:

Ponds, lakes, marshes, ditches, slow streams and other quiet bodies of water.
