Stout sac spider

Clubiona sp.

Description:

About 10mm long this pinkish-brown plain looking spider had a white tip at its tail, Proportionally large dark fangs.

Habitat:

Often found indoors.

Notes:

A sac spider - these spiders have acquired a reputation for causing necrotic wounds and are often killed by people on sight. This reputation is likely unjustified. Unfortunately for them they are attracted to the indoor environment. This one is very pale compared to most. Probably imm. female. Still checking species.
