Carolina anole (♀)

Anolis carolinensis

Description:

A slender, elegant lizard with a white dorsal stripe, which indicates that this is a female anole.

Habitat:

This arboreal lizard was seen in the swamp in Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve in Louisiana. It’s native to the southeastern US.

Notes:

If you look closely, there’s an ant on her tail. :)
