Junonia hedonia
Found on bushes in pool area, in Angeles City, Pampanga, Philippines
Thanks Bayucca for your help. Looks like a brown pansy to me from comparing t to other photos. Joe
Nymphalidae, Nymphalinae, Junonini, Junonia sp. and for me it looks more like Junonia hedonia than Junonia iphita, despite the name Brown Pansy. I think Hedonia is slightly more orange than the typical brown/brownish color of Iphita, which is the Chocolate Pansy. Please, verify yourself and maybe some of the Philippinian friends might help with this one as well. I am not 100% sure!!
