Selasphorus rufus
This hummingbird was approximately 10cm in length (4 inches) or less, with a white breast and orangey red wings / tail.
This hummingbird was photographed on a wooded island in Howe Sound, BC, Canada.
These hummingbirds fought fiercely for the use of the hummingbird feeder. They also chased each other trough the treetops.
The other option would be Calliope, but the primary projection appears to short in both spottings.
