Of some 5 cm in wingspan, this is a predominantly orange butterfly with white borders and black pattern on wings.


Seen on flowers in montane grasslands & pastures (about 750 of altitude) close to mixed and protected forest. The area is in lake Geneva valley, at the feet of Jura mountain range.
