Red-necked False Blister Beetle

Description:

Red-necked False Blister Beetles are about 0.4 inches (1 cm) long and have a dark head with prominent mouth parts, a red-orange thorax, and black elytra. False Blister Beetles (Family Oedemeridae) are look alikes in appearance to true Blister Beetles (Family Meloidae).

Habitat:

Gardens,woodlands,fields,Urban areas at lights
