This is the only photo I have, hoping someone will help me identify it
Definitely not a widow spider so no concern there. This is actually a very common type of orb weaver garden spider in the southern US. You can faintly see the spines on the legs in the picture and the under abdomen pattern to help narrow down the ID to at least a Neoscona genus orb weaver.
