lynx canadensis
It has a dense silvery-brown coat, ruffed face, and tufted ears. It resembles a large domestic cat. This one is sleeping the day away, as lynx do in the wild.
This lynx was found in the Minnesota zoo.
Well-suited to living in snow, their large furry feet serve as snowshoes. Long legs help them stay above drifts, and extra-thick fur keeps them warm and silent.
