Living in Europe, I instinctively associated this insect to an Oryctes Nasicornis. I had never heard of the Xyloryctes Jamaicensis before. Thanks again!

Irene, the Orcytes genus isn't found in North America, though it's very widespread in Europe and Asia! I had a quick browse of bugguide, and I think this is Xyloryctes jamaicensis, it's a very common rhinoceros beetle in the US, found pretty much everywhere! Cool! It's some kind of rhinoceros beetle, but I don't know exactly what kind of species. I'd have a look on a website like bugguide.net and see what kinds you get in your area!
