Urania fulgens
The Migration started a few days ago, lots of then flying North in groups, all day. They are actually black and iridescent blue/green and large in size...in the pictures the true colors do not show, it shows yellow.
I can not recall a Migration of this Urania fulgens in February lat year, last time I share the Migration with PN, was in November 2013, I was not in Costa Rica Nov 2014, I do not know if there was a Migration.

Wow, so beautiful, Gylma...
Gracias, tmvdh. I will wait for your Article. Es que tengo mucha curiosidad por saber todos los detalles.... : )
Hola Gilma, espera (un poco) hasta que puedo enviarte el artículo. Allí vas a encontrar mucha información y respuestas a tu preguntas ;-)...
Thank you so much tmvdh. Do you know how many times a year they Migrate and the months? and/or where can I find more information? Thank you.
Hi Gilma, it depends on the location where Karen saw them: West (Urania fulgens) or east (Urania leilus) of the Andes...
Thank you KarenSaxton, It would be interesting to find out what/how many Months they Migrate...Perhaps when I read tmvdh member's Article. : )
I saw them in Ecuador this past Christmas
Thank you tmvdh, son divinas y grandes. It is so nice to go in the Garden and see them Migrate day after day, they fly high, I got this pictures when a gust of wind made it imposible for this moth to gain altitude.
Hola Gilma, estupendas fotos! Tuve mucha suerte y vi -durante varios días- una migración de esta especie en 2006, en mi jardín en Escazú :-).
