Description:

Measuring 43-65 cm. and weighs about 610 g. Dark brown plumage with green and purple metallic gloss on the back, wings, head and neck. A white feather edge about the facial skin is of a color between pink and red. The legs are reddish.

Habitat:

Two separate areas: Peru, Brazil, Chile, Argentina and Mexico, United States ..

This looks more like a bare-faced ibis. Known locally as Tapicurú.
