Plagiometriona clavata clavata
A cute little tortoise beetle with black marking and an orange body which only could be seen while flying. The surface of the beetle appeared warty. Found on a Catalpa leaf.

Thanks Emma!
cute!
Thanks Reza! Perhaps it could be this subspecies: http://bugguide.net/node/view/360248! Thanks, you can go ahead and suggest an ID if you would like! :)
Hi J, this could be a Clavate Tortoise Beetle / Plagiometriona clavata !
Thanks Maria!
nice one!
Thanks, Dan! They are definitely not people-bugs. I don't really blame them. That would be like the Empire State Building chasing me around! Sorry I missed your comment! Thanks again!
Thanks!
I did not know they are around here either until I saw this golden one!

Thanks for your comment Mark!
Great find! I saw one once, but it didn't hang around long to photograph.
Fabulous. I didn't know you had these guys in that part of the country.
