nice series - you might consider putting the last photo first as it shows the entire insect

Anisomorpha buprestoides and Anisomorpha ferruginea overlap in Texas, so that's why I stopped at genus level. These insects have some awesome common names: prairie alligator, musk mare, devil's riding horse.
