Description:

Asota eusemioides is a moth of the Erebidae (Noctuidae) family. It is found in Papua New Guinea and Indonesia. It is a common species that seems to prefer low to moderate altitudes.

Habitat:

Observed here on the underside of a betel nut palm (Areca catechu) branch/leaf in a large semi-urban yard & garden next to a disturbed patch of remnant lowland forest in the equatorial tropics of northern New Guinea.
