Audubon have a lab especially for splittng

Yea they used to all be moorhens, but a few years ago they split the new world one out into the gallinule. They look exactly the same though!

Apologies Ashley yoy are right, in England They are called Moorhen

The bird in the back is not a coot, it is a common gallinule (Gallinula galeata)

These are Mallards.(Anas platyrhynchos.) Two males one female.
