Rana temporaria
Frog
Found in a huge pile of sticks in the garden
Very friendly and tame, even stopped to pose for afew photos before hopping off into the bushes :)
Cool spotting, you can add it to the 'Reptiles and Amphibians of Europe' Mission! http://www.projectnoah.org/missions/1329...
What a cute little guy! This is a Common Frog, pretty much the only species of frog we get in the UK (well, that's a native species, anyway!). They can come in all kinds of colours, but the IDing feature is that patch behind the eye (it's quite pale on this guy, and kind of obscured by the reflection of the flash). Great spotting, glad he posed for a few pics!
