Painted Mock Viper

Psammodynastes pictus

Description:

This orange/brown variation of Painted Mock Viper - Psammodynastes pictus is the one that is more often seen at the Park. This particular one was found on the same bush on the side of a pond that has a lot of frogs. It was at the same spot at night for the whole duration of 6 nights I was there. During day time, it probably went under the bushes to hide.

Habitat:

Tropical forest.
