I agree with suz, most likely Aloe sp.

Hmm. Interesting markings. Not quite stripes, not quite spots. My first thought was agave. But looks like it's probably an aloe instead. I don't have a good link for you, but try Mosaic aloe, Aloe harlana ... aloe is native to southern Africa.
