Description:

Photo take on a coral reef this sponge grow around a conch shell , Thick, leathery incrustations with scattered, slighlty elevated oscules. Color bright vermillion in shallow specimens, dull red in deeper specimens, the latter as a result of having a withish skin patched by bright colored inhalant areas

Habitat:

Found on shallow waters inhabitant of the coral reefs, from Florida all the Caribbean Sea to north Brazil.
