Leptoglossus occidentalis

Description:

The western conifer seed bug, Leptoglossus occidentalis, sometimes abbreviated as WCSB, is a species of true bug (Heteroptera) in the family Coreidae. It was originally native to the warm-temperate western USA (California, Oregon and Nevada) but has in recent times expanded its range and become an invasive species in parts of Europe.

Thank you both for the ID! I would have assumed an assassin bug. Beautiful bug though; surprised me when I found it on a shoot of bee macros.

I'd agree with Maria that it is a leaf-footed bug. The faint white zigzag across the back suggests this is a western conifer seed bug (Leptoglossus occidentalis).
