Aka Red fringe - Smithora naiadum is a small red algae that only grows on sea grasses.

Habitat:

Spotted on eelgrass in a tide pool at low tide in the low intertidal zone. Tongue Point Marine Sanctuary.

Notes:

Found along eastern Pacific, Alaska to Baja Mexico.
