Nucifraga columbiana
The most striking feature about this handsome grey, black and white corvid is the long pointed black beak. Its raucous Kraa-aa-a call is easily heard in the Cascade and Rocky Mountains. Check the reference for full range details.
I like to call # 4 Chat at the waterhole.
Depend on the seeds of Pine trees as their major food source but also eat insects and other food offered to them by people at feeders, etc. They hold the pine cones between their feet and use their strong beak to tear into it and extract the seeds.
