Fulvous-breasted Woodpecker

Dendrocopus macei

Description:

Red vent are the key feature of this species which differs it with Dendrocopus moluccensis. Male has red crown while female doesn't.

Habitat:

This one was found in mangrove forest of Muara Angke Animal Reserve (Jakarta, Indonesia), but this species also inhabits urban forest and tropical forest.

Notes:

Eating some kind of maggot.
