Brown-throated Parakeet

Eupsittula pertinax

Habitat:

Subtropical or tropical dry forests, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, and subtropical or tropical dry shrub land. Range southern Caribbean and Northern South America. Feeds inconspicuously on fruit in gardens, forest edges, and second growth.

Notes:

Herd and seen these guys every trip I make here, but they are very hard to photograph. Usually they are high up blending in very well among the leaves. Got lucky this time. This one didn't mind his pic. taken while it munched away on some pods by the hotel fence.
