House Bunting

Emberiza sahari

Description:

The bird roughly the size of a sparrow, with chestnut or rufous body, and white and grey discreetly stripped head; with a large white supercilium. Even though I previously described as noisy (see my spotting of this species from five years ago, from Chad https://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/15...), this time I was unable to hear that song.

Habitat:

Observed regularly in urban settings of Marrakesh and Essaouira, very common.
