Hiding among the Water Lettuce (https://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/14...) It was really easy to miss amongst all the water lettuce. It looked like a log or just another natural part of the landscape. In the last two photos you can see it's nictitating membrane.
Flooded area on La Chua Trail surrounding the boardwalk in Payne's Prairie. The Water Lettuce seem to appear out of nowhere after an area floods, giving a lot of shelter to animals very quickly when a new body of water appears
