Des, I told you that one of the most obvious field marks was the whitish band on the bill and that one cannot see the ring on the neck easily.

It's always a good idea to look up something when someone says it, many people are mid-informed about a lot of things. That is how untrue things get spread so rapidly.

Oh. I am friends with JoshuaGsmith and he has always told be that they are called Ring-necked Ducks because of there white stripe/hook on the side of their neck.
