Description:

Lantana Treehoppers (also known as Lantana sap-sucking bugs) are a well camouflaged species in the membracidae family. The insects are brown in colour and look like thorns on the host plant.

Habitat:

Although they naturally occur from Mexico to Columbia, they were introduced to NSW and Queensland in Australia to rid of the weed lantana (lantana pictured in the photo)
