Spotting

Description:

Pink budding stems about 5-7 inches tall. There was a group of these spanning about 3 feet.

Habitat:

Lowland hardwood forest with oak, maple, and carolina palm trees. There was also a pretty thick layer of leaf litter.

Notes:

This was a very damp drizzly day, and there were lots of mushrooms sprouting up everywhere in the area.
