Mitopus morio(female)

Mitopus morio

Description:

I was happily taking shots at this flower when I saw this beautiful spider standing ad a few centimeters from me. I can't deny I had a heart attack at first, but the curiosity took the place of fear and I started taking pictures at it instead. It is part of the opiliones order, who curiously have a fused abdomen and thorax and very long legs. I think it is part of this species, I found only photos of specimens with a dark design on their back but I found a drawing in which there was a lighter color version and it said it was a female.

Habitat:

Alpine forest around 1300 mt
