Description:

About 30 cm, rather drab brown-grey, with rufous-chestnut near wing-bend and on under wing-coverts, rump, and sides of tail setting bird ‚on fire‘ in flight.

Habitat:

In the forest near Jukkasjarvi, Sweden. Near our camp in the forest.

Notes:

While dog sledding we spotted these birds near our camp dining on the frozen dog food! Lovely red colouring while flying.
