Crowded parchment mushroom

Stereum complicatum

Description:

The crowded parchment is a crowded, fan-shaped, leathery, cinnamon-buff, shiny mushroom. This is the most common species of stereum.

Habitat:

Can be found on dead deciduous twigs and stumps, especially oak. This particular spotting covered the whole little tree. It was spotted in the Grayton Beach State Park in Santa Rosa, Florida.
