Yellow Water Lily

Description:

This lake is rightly named Lily Pad lake. It has supported these lovely yellow water lilies for over 60 years. The water lilies are edible.

Habitat:

This lake is located in Eastern Oregon at Anthony Lakes in the Wallowa Whitman National Forest.

Notes:

About 10 years ago there was a beaver living here. The beaver damn widened the lake which had been shrinking into meadow land for many years.
