Tumba Vaqueros, QuiebraCajete, Morning Glory

Ipomoea

Description:

Very Rough Climber native to Guatemala. With purple flowers of about 8cm diameter.

Habitat:

Comprende 650 especies oriundas de zonas templadas y cálidas.1 La mayoría de ellas habita en África y América tropical.

Notes:

Most morning glory flowers unravel into full bloom in the early morning. The flowers usually start to fade a few hours before the "petals" start showing visible curling. They prefer full solar exposure throughout the day, and mesic soils. By crowding out, blanketing and smothering other plants, morning glory has turned into a serious invasive weed problem.

Looks to be the closest to Ipomoea pedicellaris, although the sepals look too elongated...

I would say it is an Ipomoea species but the exact species has me stumped.

I would like to see additional views of the sepals and I would so much like to see and acquire some seeds...
