Boat-tailed Grackle (male)

Quiscalus major

Description:

These birds remind me of lions, the females are smaller and brown and seem to be the ones that work hardest to get food and raise the young. The males are more resplendent and defend territory and strut a lot.

Habitat:

Rich Grissom Memorial Wetlands
